Do you ever feel like God has asked you to tackle more than you can possble accomplish? Then you and I have much in common. If we had time -- I'm sure we'd do lunch.
If we did scamble up the time to eat together, we would talk about our impossible situations, our incompetance to accomplish what it is God's called us to do, and we would confess our fear of failure...in detail!
After all that was out of the way, we could finally take a breathe knowing we are in good company. This would lead to each of us professing how absolutely certain we are of God's direction -- and conclude that if He is going to put us in this mess -- than He is committed to getting us through it in victory.
What's your impossible task?
Recently I have been facing how having eight kids in the house (half of which cannot speak English) is going to allow me the time and peace needed to write and prepare. I am absolutely certain He has called me to it, yet I have no idea how.
Let me share how God has been working to answer my need:
About a year ago, my husband was offered a job that allows him blocks of days off. He is free to take care of everything during those days to allow me concentrated hours for writing on a regular basis. Before we realized our need, God provided a solution.
This proved true with the space solution, also. A few years ago, we bought a house that came with great aminities but had deteriorated over tme. That's a nice way to say, it's mostly run down and in need of an overflow of cash.

There is a building behind our house attached to the original pool, that was probably hip and cool twenty+ years ago, but today it's simply dangerous and worthy of a demolition team. It consists of a gargantuan hot tub (which is neither "hot" or able to generate that bubbling sensation); a suana that doesn't work; a toilet that is broken; a broken water heater; oxydized sliding doors; and a leaking roof. Somehow God helped us see past all that and put us to work.
The hot tub was filled in. Then we replaced the doors, roof, and toilet. Indoor/outdoor carpeting was installed. Eveything was painted; and we filled the broken sauna with boxes. All the funiture misplaced from the new girls' bedroom was moved outside and we hung a few curtains. Voila`--- a peaceful environment conducive to writing while being just steps from home. What was once a danger and disaster has become a solution to helping make an impossible situation possible.

I don't know how I'm going to accomplish all God has brought my way. But I can see Him working, paving the way for victory. He is busy doing the same for you.
How is He is working and moving you toward gaining the victory?
